Getting started

Wave places a wave: a ladder of Uniswap positions across a price range, minted in one transaction and managed as one thing.

What you need

  • A wallet that can add a custom network. On mobile, open Wave inside your wallet's browser.
  • The chain in the wallet. Wave runs on Arc and on Robinhood Chain, one site per chain (see Chains); each offers to add or switch to its network when you connect.
  • Gas and a dollar. On Arc, USDC is both the gas token and what most waves are denominated in. On Robinhood Chain, gas is ETH and waves are denominated in USDG or ETH.
  • The token you want to sell, if you're placing an ask wave. The pool page has a swap card if you don't hold it.

Gas is cheap:

  • A full build: a few cents.
  • Collecting fees: a fraction of a cent.

Connecting

  • Click Connect wallet, top right.
  • More than one wallet installed? You'll get a picker.
  • Nothing happens? Wave couldn't find a wallet. Open the site inside your wallet app.

The pages

  • Waves — the leaderboard. Click a row to build in that pool.
  • Positions — your waves, what they're worth, what they've earned, their PnL, and the collect / close buttons. Your referral code and link live here too.
  • Stake — stake WAVE, earn USDC from protocol revenue.
  • Docs — this.

The sun-and-moon button switches between the light and dark theme. Lock in turns the lights down further for long sessions.

Your first wave

  1. Pick a pool with real trading and real liquidity. The board hides tiny pools and leaves out drained ones.
  2. Choose a strategy. Bid buys below the price with USDC. Ask sells above the price. Two-sided earns fees around the price.
  3. Set a range and a shape. Presets run from 5% to 50% from the current price. Shapes are anchored at the price, so a Curve leans toward it and a Bid-Ask leans away from it.
  4. Choose custody. Held by Wave keeps the positions in Wave's contract and takes a share of the fees they earn. Your wallet mints them straight to you for a one-time fee on the deposit.
  5. Enter an amount. The preview on the right is the contract's own calculation, fee included.
  6. Build. Approve once for the exact amount, then sign. Your wave appears under Positions.
Note

Two fee models, your pick at step 4: 5% of the trading fees a wave earns, or 0.1% of the deposit once (0.05% for wallets holding 500,000 WAVE). Never anything on withdrawals or principal. Details under Fees.
