Referrals

Share Wave, earn a share of the fees your referrals pay. Paid on chain, in the build transaction, with nothing to claim.

How it works

  • Every wallet gets a six-letter code, generated for it. You get one the first time you build a self-custody wave; if you built or staked before referrals existed, one has been assigned to you already. Anyone without one can press Get my code on the Positions page. One per wallet, permanent. Your link is wavelp.tech/r/<code>.
  • Anyone who opens Wave through your link and builds a self-custody wave is bound to you on that first build. The binding is permanent: a wallet has one referrer, ever, and can't refer itself.
  • They pay 10% less on the mint fee (0.1% becomes 0.09%; the holder rate 0.05% becomes 0.045%).
  • You get 20% of the fee they pay, in the same tokens they deposited, sent to your wallet in the same transaction. Every build they ever make, no cap.
  • The rest of the fee goes to the protocol as usual.
Note

Referrals apply to self-custody waves. Waves held by Wave pay a share of fees over time rather than a mint fee, so there's nothing to split at build.

Reading your numbers

The Referrals card on Positions shows how many wallets you've referred, how many builds they've made, and what you've earned per token with a USD total at today's prices.

Rules in one place

  • A wallet holds one code and is referred by one wallet. Codes are generated, never chosen, so no code can pretend to be Wave.
  • Self-referral does nothing — no discount, no reward.
  • The code has to exist when the referred wallet builds; a typo in the link is ignored.
  • Someone who opens your link sees a note that they've been invited and what it's worth; the discount is applied at build without anything to enter.
  • The discount and the referrer share can change; the current values are always shown on the card.
