Pools, and Uniswap v3 vs v4

Wave builds on both Uniswap v3 and v4 on Arc. For most of what you do the version doesn't matter.

#The leaderboard

Each version gets its own top 30 by volume. The AMM filter narrows to one.

• Trending — new to the index, or the last hour is a quarter of the day's volume.
• Established — everything else.
• Click a column header to sort instead.

Filters:

• Search by symbol or address.
• Fee tier.
• Min TVL — hides pools below a floor. Defaults to $1,000. Remembers your choice. Search ignores it.
• Drained pools stay off the board but still match a search.

#What's different on v4

• v4 pill, plus a hook badge if the pool has one. Hover it to see what the hook may do.
• Fees aren't fixed tiers. Any fee is possible. dynamic means a hook sets it per trade.
• Some hooks are off-limits. Hooks allowed to step in when liquidity is added or removed could interfere with your positions. Wave won't build in those pools. Most hooks only touch swaps and are fine.
• Native-USDC pools can't be built in yet. Arc's USDC exists as a token and as the gas coin; v4 treats them as two currencies. Wave supports the token form.
• Approvals go through Permit2. You approve Wave as usual.
• Swapping works on both. Pools quoted in native USDC can't be swapped from the card yet.

v3 and v4 waves are held by two separate Wave contracts. Neither affects the other.

#Pools with no usable price

• Created, traded briefly, drained. Price reads as an impossible number, and it holds nothing.
• Wave shows This pool has no usable price instead of a builder.
• The token's real market is usually its v4 pool. Search for it.

#Creating a pool

• No USDC pool for a token yet? Searching its address offers to create one.
• You set the starting price.
• It starts empty. Your wave would be its first liquidity.
